Designer Mustafa Hassanali is expected to launch his first men’s wear resort collection at the inaugural South Africa’s Menswear week in Cape Town today.Speaking before boarding the flight to the ‘Mother City’, Hassanali said he will launch the collection with support from 361 Degrees Company and McDaan Ltd.
He said he is looking forward to the event and ready to flap Tanzania’s flag on the fashion and designing in the continent and the World platforms.“As the vacation season just got over, most vacationers swamped holiday destinations from Zanzibar to Marrakech, where the need of casual garment is a priority, thus the inspiration behind this collection which would be best fit the discerning gentleman to strip of his formal for some fun casuals.“This collection truly depicts the Hues that aptly define Tanzania, the Land of Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar,” he said.
Hassanali, who has showcased his collections in 29 cities of 20 countries globally, a major feat achieved by none in the fashion industry locally, said today’s event will be his fourth showcase in Cape Town city. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team for making this showcase possible. Last but not least, I thank the Almighty Allah for his continued Guidance,” he said.
Hassanali, a celebrated name in Tanzania, pursues fashion as a religion. His personable and affable demeanor in parallel with his superb work of art has made him amidst the premier and popular designers in Tanzania and Eastern Africa.
